Why it matters
A healthier way to get to school
Held on the first Wednesday in October, Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day encourages students across the country to try active transportation. Walking, biking, or rolling can build healthy habits, reduce car trips, and start conversations about safer routes to school.
Walk to School Day is coordinated in the U.S.A. by the National Center for Safe Routes to School.
